Publish your Android App

  1. Note: It may take some time for the Download Android APP button to appear in orange—around 15-20 minutes. Please wait and keep your browser window open. Your app is being created.

  1. Once the button is clickable, download the file. If you cannot download the file, restart the Map App Builder. Something went wrong, and you'll need to review all your entered data from steps 1 to 7 and create the app again.

  2. If everything works correctly, download the .zip file.

  1. Unzip the ZIP file to retrieve the .aab file

  1. (Optional) You can also test the app online on a real device to verify that all your app's data is displayed correctly. If anything is misconfigured, you can restart the Map Wizard from steps 1 to 7 and make the necessary changes. To test the app, visit Browser Stack and upload your .aab file to test it on Android devices.

  2. Go to Google Play Console and create a Google Play Console account.

  3. Select your account type and click Get Started. You'll be guided through a wizard to create your account. Once completed, come back here.

  4. In your Google Play Console Home directory, click Create App

  1. Enter the following information as shown in the image.

  1. Check the following boxes and click Create App

  1. Then, go to the Dashboard tab and click on Select Testers in the Internal Testing group.

  1. In the Testers tab, enter your email to test the app on your Android smartphone. You'll receive a link to download and test the app on your phone. Click Save

  1. Next, go to the Release tab and click Create New Release

  1. Click Choose Signing Key

  1. Select Use Google-Generated Key

  1. Click Upload

  1. Select your app-release.aab file

  1. If you get an error message like this, restart the Blitz Wiz Map App Builder and resolve the issue by, for example, providing a new Bundle ID.

  1. If everything went well, it should look like this. Enter the release name for your app and click Next

  1. An error will appea click Go to App Access

  1. Click on all the fields as shown in the image.

  1. Return to the Dashboard and click Preview and Confirm the Release

  1. Another error will appear click Go to Sensitive App Permissions

  1. Here, you need to explain why the app uses the user's location. In our case, it’s to display the user’s location on the map for better orientation. Fill in the fields as shown in the image.

  1. Click Save and Publish

  1. Go back to the Dashboard and Set privacy policy

  1. Enter your Privacy Policy URL, which you created in the previous steps.

  1. Return to the Dashboard and click Ads

  1. Select that the app does not contain ads.

  1. Go back to the Dashboard and click on Content Rating

  1. Upload all the images required by your app. You can take screenshots of your app by uploading it to (BrowserStack)[https://www.browserstack.com/] where you can test and capture images. Alternatively, if you have an Android phone, add yourself as an internal tester using your own email to test the app and take screenshots. Then click Save

  1. Go to your dashboard. The next step is Closed Testing. Click on Select countries and regions to distribute your app to the desired locations (countries worldwide).

  1. Select the countries where you want to make your app available.

  1. Go to the Testers tab and enter at least 20 tester emails. You need at least 20 people to test your app for 14 days, as required by Google. If you don’t know 20 people, you can hire 20 freelancers to test your app for a small fee on Fiver Freelancer

  1. You'll need a new build version. Go back to our BlitzWizMap page and create a new Android version, this time with version number 2.0.0 (important: the version number must be higher than the previous one). Upload the new .aab file here.

  1. Click Save

  1. If an issue is found, click Complete declaration

  1. As the final step, wait for Google to verify that your app is safe. If further actions are required, they will appear on your dashboard. Complete these steps as indicated, and once there are no errors left, click Apply for production
